The puzzle presents 14 rows, each with the name of a “Ganondorf” form and an image describing the reward for beating that form. We can find that images are cluing two words that can be combined to form a new word, representing the reward for beating the Ganondorf. For example, the second image clues a “car pet”, which combines into the final reward “carpet”.

During this process, we can also discover that 1) the given order is alphabetic by the combined “reward” word and that 2) the sell prices represent the length of the combined word (multiplied by 100 for flavor). This can help with filling out the remaining image prompts.

The flavor text “Link might be able to find what he needs for each fight if he faces them in the right order” suggests that Link can match each reward to a more appropriate Ganondorf form. Through some trial and error, we can find that each final reward matches with a Ganondorf form that represents the opposite/antithesis of the reward. For example, “caprice” can be matched with its antithesis “stability”. (This can also help with filling out any remaining image prompts)

With the help of the flavor text, we can also see that this matching forms a cycle, going from “Ganondorf form ” ➡️ “reward for beating that form (same row)” ➡️ “antithesis Ganondorf form (of that reward)” ➡️ “reward for beating that form (same row)” etc. For example, if we arbitrarily start from Home Ganondorf, we would have “HOME” ➡️ “CENTRALLY” ➡️ “PERIPHERY” ➡️ “MILLION” ➡️ etc. The flavor text suggests that there is no clear starting point, but we can identify the ending point of the cycle - this would be Finality Ganondorf.

We can now index into each reward word with the attack power of the corresponding antithesis Ganondorf form. Reading in cycle order, we get RETIREMENT HOME.

Authors' Notes

I was stuck in traffic behind a Land Rover Discovery, bored to death, so I discovered (no pun intended) that you could split the word into two separate words, and you could reverse them to get “very disco”.

This inspired me to write a puzzle around other words that could be split into two unrelated words to form a funny image prompt. Unfortunately the additional reversing mechanic was scrapped since it ended up being too confusing for solvers.
